My wife bought me this as a Christmas present. I have used it quite a few times over the holidays and it cooks great pizza. The oven imparts a lovley wood-fired flavor (I've been using Apple pellets) and cooks the dough much better than I can in my home oven. I recommend getting a good quality pizza peel as an absolute essential. Looking forward to eating many pizzas with my family from this oven.

Great little oven
First off these guys are great to deal with, great communication and service, We recently bought the small Fryra oven that runs on wood pellets, the oven is easy to use, I would suggest doing a couple of dummy runs just to get a handle on the oven and when cooking don’t get distracted as it cooks very quickly and the the pizza will burn😂
At the price it is great value

Cant believe how hot this little oven gets. Still mastering the cooking time, hence the 4 stars. Just don't leave your pizza
to go get a beer and remember to turn them. Rookie mistake!

Great oven but not perfect
Makes great pizzas, the key is good 00 flour and using semolina flour on the prep surface to help the pizzas off the peel. Good pellets make all the difference, the end result is perfect pizza with an amazing taste. They really do cook in a minute once up to temp but some things to note (hence the 4 stars not 5).
Wind. These ovens don't like wind. Even a light wind will seriously hamper your temps. A moderate wind will make it unusable as the draft pushes the flame out the back of the oven.
Temp. If wind is a factor then the stone temp is an issue. It will take over 5 mins to get the stone back up to above 400C after cooking one pizza so if you have guests only eating pizza then it will be a slow/staggered process.
Size. Yes it's a 12 inch oven but it's literally not much more than that in width so it's a tight squeeze. Don't overload your toppings or make the dough too wet as fishing anything out of the cook space at temp is near impossible.
Cleaning. Due to the small space it's not easy to clean therefore expect some soot on your pizza from time to time if you've not blasted the cook space with an air compressor recently!!

Great little oven so easy to use
I had bought a cheap woodfire pizza over some time ago to see if it would get used, we did, but the results were very hard to manage. My plan was always to get the cheap option, then if we used it upgrade to an Ooni.
Come xmas and i asked Santa for the Ooni Fyra. I came to the conclusion that this was the best option after watching Tom Voyage review all 3 Ooni options. The wood fire was just too hard, the gas was not what I wanted, even though it would work well I wanted to get the smoky flavour, so it was the pallet option for me.
It is so easy to use. Light a couple of scoops of pallets, wait 5 min and add some more to the top, every 5 min top up the hopper and you are away.
I have used it 6 times since xmas and after the first 2 pizzas I have mastered the process (my neighbours and partner have not) I got a recipe for dough from Tom Voyage which makes perfect chewy crusts, roast some tomotoes with garlic and some herbs, wizz up in the magic bullet and you are away. Our neighbor is a slow cook master and brings us over all sorts of meats, which we combine on pizzas which we share with our street!
Best advise I can give is: Get good flour!

Wicked little pizza oven
Seen the older model of this in action before and loved the pizzas.... Finally took the plunge and purchased the OONI after getting sick of normal oven pizzas / takeaways.
Its fast, transportable, awesome for entertaining as everyone can make their own pizza flavour and it cooks so fast ...
The key is a decent pizza dough ... Just saying 😁

Yummy Pizza in a Flash
Oomi developers hit the nail on the head with this product. It heats up really quickly so in about 10 to 15 minutes you are cooking, from starting the fire. Easy to top up pallets and with different wood pallets to choose from you can change the flavors.
Best of all it's easily portable so you can take with you on holiday or share pizzas with friends and family.at their place.
Well worth getting as it is so easy we have had pizzas twice a week for the last two weeks since getting our Oomi.
